Day 2—Read: John 15:26-27
26 “But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me. 27 And you also will bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning.
Reflect: What does Jesus promise his followers? In your own words, why was Jesus sending the Holy Spirit?
Consider: The Greek word parakletos means one called alongside to help, counsel, or protect; it is used of the Holy Spirit in Jn and 1Jn.
Respond: Why is testifying for Jesus so important in the world in which we live today? How does focusing on this mission help us fight back against the enemies of discipleship?
