HI! My name is Bronwyn (Ms. "B" to the kids) and I am the Children's Minister here at First Baptist Church College Station. I have been a Minister to Children full-time for 20 years, 14 of those here at FBCCS. I love seeing boys and girls accept Jesus as their Lord as Savior and I love sharing in their baptisms! I also love helping children hide God's Word in their hearts. Children's Camp is my favorite week of the year!
I graduated from Baylor University (Go Bears!) in 1993 with a BA in Psychology and a Minor in Religion. In 1995, I received a Master of Arts in Religious Education with a concentration in Childhood Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. I am currently working on my dissertation in order to complete a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction, focusing in Early Childhood Education at Texas A&M University.
My family is a very important part of my life. My son, Grant, fills my free time. I see my parents a lot since they only live an hour away. We love going to Baylor games and just spending time together fishing or antiquing. I have one furry little girl - my precious Miniature Schnauzer, Abby!
Associate Minister to Children
I love college students! They energize me and I receive great joy enabling them to experience God. I was invited to serve at First Baptist in January 2003. I was born in Vietnam, came to America in 1975, adopted by the Cope family of Frederick, Oklahoma, accepted Christ at the age of nine, and accepted God's call to ministry at youth camp. I am a graduate of Oklahoma State University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I have served churches in Oklahoma, Texas, and Virginia before coming to First. I married my high school sweetheart Kayla and have two fantastic daughters; Joy Malori and Jill Madelyn. I enjoy playing volleyball, off-roading, teaching, watching action movies with my family, and NASCAR.
There is nothing like working with students so that they may know the Hope that Jesus brings! Students who truly own their faith in Jesus can do amazing things in Kingdom work! I have served in various student ministry roles in both Texas and Tennessee, and now, I am excited and honored to be serving at First Baptist Church in College Station, TX. Having graduated from Texas A & M University in 1999, it is a blessing to be serving in good ole Aggieland! The Lord called me into His gospel ministry in 1995 and I began serving right away in student ministry. This area of gospel ministry is where the Lord has steered me since His calling, and I am stoked about the great things He will do in the lives of students, here at FBC College Station! My gorgeous bride, Brandi, and I have been married for 17 years. I have two incredible children, Caryssa (7th grade), and Luke (5th grade). We love just about any outdoor activity imaginable, watching movies, and having folks over for a great time!
