BCS Gospel Scavenger Hunt!

BCS Gospel Scavenger Hunt Combines Faith, Family and Fun

The BCS Children’s Ministry Network will host the Gospel Scavenger Hunt on August 5-9, 2019. The scavenger hunt is hosted by area churches with a goal to encourage families to seek the Gospel.

There are four boxes hidden at four local churches. Participants can get the clue, hunt for the box, and find God's Word. Each box contains a devotional guide, an activity, and a clue to help families find the next box. Families will enjoy music and adventure as well. The Gospel Scavenger Hunt can be completed in one day or through the week.

The first clue will be revealed Sunday, August 4, at 6:00 PM via email, Facebook and Instagram pages.

No registration is required. Families, friends, neighbors - all are welcome! There is no age limit and no religious affiliation necessary. The BCS Scavenger Hunt is a fun, friendly activity for all those who would like to explore and grow their faith in Christ.

We attended this multi-church retreat in 2017 and had such a great time we’re going again! This is a multi-church retreat, but church groups sit together and church group time is built into the schedule. We hope to take a big group this year, and would love for you to be part of this opportunity to grow in our relationships with Christ and together!

Speakers: Kathy Howard, Alta Lynn Gerlach, and Cynthia Hopkins

Worship led by Jeff Berry

Special Guests: Anna Berry (Anna Berry Designs and HGTV’s Nashville Flipped) and Fish Sticks Comedy

Lodging: slumber party cottages (linens not provided) or motel-style lodges (linens provided)

Cost (includes 2 nights lodging, 5 meals, program, and numerous activities):

Slumber Party Cottage: $130

Lodges (2-3 people): $150

*Scholarships available.

**College and Gap students pay half-price (lodging in cottages).

First Women will be staying two nights, but there is a one night option for those who can only stay a shorter time. Transportation will be coordinated for both groups, if needed.

Registration will be open beginning November 5 and deadline is January 7, 2018.

Home for the Holidays

Saturday, December 9

10am - 2pm

Purchase tickets at the women’s ministry table during November

Home for the Holidays is a special time for women that includes a Panera-catered brunch, program, and shopping! We’ll fellowship and eat together around  beautifully decorated tables. The program that follows will include Christmas worship songs led by some of our own women at First, and a Christmas message by speaker Darla Baerg. After that, there will be a time of shopping (12-2) with area vendors at their booths in the fellowship hall.

There will be great food, friends, laughter, shopping, door prizes, encouragement, challenge, and worship. We hope to see you there, and bring some friends!

If you’re interested in hosting a table, please contact Carlin Whittington or Teri Thompson (link to emails).

For vendor info and applications, contact Melissa Melnyk or Gail Lewis (link to emails).
